We had a wonderful celebration with all the community in November to turn on the Christmas lights, despite the terrible rain. We had reindeer from the rescue centre in Danygraig, very popular with the children. There was mulled wine, hot dogs and snacks organised by Graig Best Kept Villages, the cakes from the Meithrin and our 1st Bassaleg Scouts manned the kitchen refreshments. Save Our Woodland Bassaleg helped with the raffle too. We had great entertainment from the choir at Pentrepoeth Primary, the Rogerstone Band and the tuneful Alcan Singers and all rounded off by Santa paying a visit, perfect!
